Curious Cats

Contrary to the popular myth, curiousity did not kill the cat.  Curious cats are alive and thriving and playing a central role in the Vancouver Learning City.

Being curious means being open to change, receptive to new ideas, and capable of dreaming the ideal and doing what seemed impossible to previous generations.  Curiousity is a wellspring of hope.

I think Vancouver is a leader among urban centres.  We balance our financial interests with environmental sustainabiliity, we care about our neighbours, we don't ignore our problems, we work together to solve them.  Ambitious goals such as becoming the greenest city in the world in 2020, hosting the Olympic Winter Games in 2010, and being ranked (for the seventh year in a row) as the best city in the world in which to live says it all.  None of these things would be possible if we weren't curious about our potential - now and in the future.
